DIN is the size, not the harness.
DIN stands for Deutsche Institut fur Normung, or German Standards Institute. It defines standards in much the same way as SAE or ISO. It does refer to an anutomotive electronic component size standard, but also to the 8 pin connector which plugs into the back of the Bose.

anyway....Altimat is gonna hook me up with a custom wiring job since I don't have the plug in the back. If something goes wrong, I guess I'll be looking for another BOSE headunit.

I'll be sending my headunit to him at the beginning of next week and you can all be sure that as soon as I get it back there will be a post praising his work. He's said he's planning on offering the custom wiring to us poor unfortunate souls who don't have the connector. Call me Mr. Guinea Pig
