brake and battery lights flash when driving. battery is good alternator is good. any ideas before i go to service dept.?

take them off and then test them both...makes a difference

DING DING DING. Alternator output voltage spec says between 14.1 & 14.7 volts.

and yes, your alternator can go bad and a warning light not show up.

Yeah... when i turn, batt light goes on and steering becomes hard. The brake light flashes i think 3 times? is this some code?

it could be because when you are making a turn, you are using the power steering sytsem, thus drawing power that is not there from the car because the alternator or battery is faulty. I bet when you stop turning, the light goes off, right? Mine did that whenever I used my wipers. I would put them on intermittent, and every time they would come on, the car would lose power, until it finally died (not the Altima, but my Camry). Same thing here.

your alternator is toast son, i had the same prob errrtime i taosted my alternator about a total of 8 times, but i kept scammin carquest so it was all good

in my experience, brake light and batt. light is a bad alternator all the way....

Every single time, even when my alternator had just got replaced, and was.....new???

No I'm saying, i got it new and well sposedly it was new, and as soon as i charged the battery and turned it on my alternator and bat light would light up at high revvs

if your power steering and alternator are having problems at the same time you might check your belts also.

Brake light and battery light coming on together while you are driving means altenator problems. Trust me on this. The same thing happened to me for about a month, then the car powered itself off one night. Get the altenator tested. It will be an altenator problem. It's not a big job to do. Get it rebuilt and the lights go away!!
