Just last week I had to get my front axle replaced. Now theres a noise coming from the front right brake area. Only when in motion obviously. Sounds like a high pitched metallic grinding. When I apply the brake, its quieted out and eventually gon, but then when I release the brake it comes back. Question is, in replacing the axle, is it possible they screwed up my brakes? or is this just bad coincedence?

Um...I'm thinking yes they messed something up...
You do have to play with the brake systems to take out the CV shaft, so...I'd take it back.
As for wrong forum, eh, I think it's all good for placing this question in the general.

i had the same problem. they re-used the clip to hold the cover that covers the big ass nut on ur hub. just tighten the clip with a needle nose, it should go away.

look in the very center of ur wheel (after u get the center cap off of course). there will be some threads for the axle nut. it is the clip that holds the cover for the nut. it just look like a bent giant sized hair clip.
