Hi,

Yes well OK I am gonna try to explain it to the best of my ability...

OK, first off my car is a 5 speed and when I am in WOT or above 4000rpms, everything is fine, smooth as sailing. But, if I am at half throttle or below 4000rpms my car backfires a whole bunch and hesitates in acceleration (I have an Apex n-1 with 2.5" piping and backfiring is pretty normal when I am decelerating or have the clutch fully engaged.)

But this hesitation thing...damn...WTF?

add some fuel injector cleaner......should be no more than 2-3 bucks, and its the cheapest way to start checking

Are you sure it's backfiring (if your car has melted plastic bumper or a carbon-dust plume around your exhaust pipe) or is it just air rushing backwards through the exhaust system making a popping sound?

If it's really backfiring, it's not the injectors. It may be something more serious having to do with the cam/valve/fuel timing. It may be injecting fuel while the exhaust valve is too-far open.

Does your B16 have VTEC?

Just some Ideas... I have no experience first-hand with Honda Engines besides test-drives, so my ideas are very general.
