Had a similar problem on an old tercel I had. It drove ok for 10 miles or so then drove on highway and car dind't have no power. Felt like car was didn't want to budge. had that burning smell aswell. Thhought of tranny but it's auto. Pulled of hubcap and bingo. Seized caliper. You never know.
