It's leaking from the pushrod into the car and down the pedal. It's a slow leak, but definately leaking. I know in the Haynes it gives directions to overhaul it. Should I do that or just get another one? Peace

If a replacemet master cylinder is cheap (I haven't had to replace one lately so i don't know what they cost) thats the way to go. To rebuild one you need the rebuild kit and you need a brake cylinder hone to clean the bore. Its not difficult if you follow the instructions, but if you screw up it means it will leak again, and you won't know until you've reintalled it.

I replaced mine a couple years ago... better to get a reman'd one I think, rebuilding a master or slave cyliner yourself doesn't always work the best even though its really simple. They tend to leak.
