Hey Bill,

If you're just topping up (and planning to keep doing so), I'd use Nissan OEM...it's usually less than double what the aftermarket unmixed stuff is, but you are assured chemical compatibility. Alternatively, buy the aftermarket and flush the entire system with it...top ups are half price after that

I will say that slowly disappearing coolant in a Nissan is not something to be ignored. I had that going on for a couple of years before I detected that my lower rad hose had a rusted clamp that allowed for a slow (but increasing) drip after shutoff after hard driving (max system pressure). If that had blown while driving, it would pretty much cook the engine as almost ALL the coolant drains at that point.

Thanks Doug, I went ahead and just bought the Blue at Nissan for 23 bucks.....Must have gold flakes in it....My 02 SE needed some coolant as well at about the 6 year mark.........Had fluid changed by dealer and never had a good heat again...They did not get the Air out of the system obviously.....

Yeah, that's another good thing (other than losing the torque steer) about the Gen4's over the Gen3's...the heater is a lot better at self-burping. Though of course, on the Gen3's the sound of a small creek running inside your dashboard at startup was a warning to top up and/or inspect your cooling system soon
