So I'm thinking....a 95 Maxima SE 5sp + a few options, or a fully loaded 1st gen Altima SE 5sp.
What's the diff between 93 and 94, and then 94 and 95? I understand they're generally the same car. Which would be easier to mod? Was it 95 that started OBDII?

Yep, OBDII started in 95. And 93-94 5-speed SEs have optional LSDs.

93-94s also only the only ones that have 1 oxygen sensor. I'd consider a 94 SE to be the best car to modify but it is older and ODBII is more helpful when somehing goes wrong.

I haven't been the the Maxima forums in a while...gotta see if there's any problems w/the 95 Maximas cuz it's the first year of production.
So now it comes down to 94 Altima vs 95 Maxima. Which would be lower cost to modify? I know the Maximas should hit low 15s easily w/just i/y/e.

The '94 Alty might have too many miles on it .. if you get it, make sure it has low mileage. Also, if you shave the ALTIMA emblem, then you'll be left w/holes!
