This is maybe a silly question, but... can you change the coolant temp sensor without draining the coolant? Is it possible to do it quick enough to avoid a huge mess?

The CTS is located on the intake manifold sooo you should be OK. From what I recall, no coolant was actually involved in the changing of the CTS.

you will lose a minute amount if you do it cold, which i strongly recommend. also, DO NOT undo the radiator cap when you do it. if you do that, you will lose a lot more coolant.

Hello I have a 98 Altima gxe and i wanted to know if anyone can tell me exactly where the CTS is on my car. I couldn't find it in the Haynes manual. Thanks in advance!
