Hey, guys, my CV Joints are going out...I know because, well, it's a long story, but they ARE. Anyway, I was thinking about getting rebuilt ones, and replacing them myself, since I'm so mechanically inclined. I was just wondering who's had to have itr done, or did them, and how much did it cost?

By the way...I'm not a goddamn newbie, haven't been since over a year ago, so don't tell me to do a fucking search. I did that already.

Thanks in advance...:)

Out.

man...wish it was the boots...cuz the joints are a biotch to do yourself (not saying it's impossible). I'm saying this cuz I've done my bro's 93 Maxima SE 5sp, which has a similar setup to 1st gen Altimas.

I ripped out my CV shaft doing 85mph on the freeway. Not pleasant. Make sure you do it right. When I had mine done, I could'nt find the right size anywhere. They called it a retard shaft. I got the whole driver's side shaft and installation done for $160. Good luck.
