Hi-
I just recently had a clarion vrx815 installed at the shop and I now hear engine noise whenever I press on the gas? It's like a winding noise or whizzing sound. I took it back and they put some noise blocker device on it and it still makes the same noise. If someone can help me and tell me whats exactly wrong or what I can do to stop this noise I would really appreciate it.

Most common cause BAD Ground ether on the head unit or and amp. If they put in a noise filter on the power wire it's most likely a bad ground.
There's your solution!

Another thing could be that someone happened to run your power and RCA's on the same side of the car...

Stupid, yes... but it happens.

The RCA's next to a power cable is actually more common than the bad grounds, as far as road noise goes. Used to install part time at a shop. More ppl came in complaining about road noise than anything. These were usually the same morons that bought crap because it was cheaper and wouldnt let us install it. 90% of the time, when they came back complaining about noise or something not working, we would end up selling them better quality stuff AND they let us install it.
