Yeah, I was pissed that they never actually raced that car in the movie at the "Desert Wars" where it was actually supposed to race. I mean, it would have been tight if they would have done a whole 4-car long race setup like the Eclipse got at the beginning of the movie.

Movie Use Info

In the Spring of 2000, the car was spotted by recruiters for Universal Pictures and was selected to be the primary car for the upcoming blockbuster, "The Fast and The Furious." Universal rented the car and began to alter its' appearance to for an even more aggressive look. Lamborghini orange paint was applied (the only car in the movie to receive an actual high-quality paint job), as was a new Bomex body
kit (the first of its' kind, imported from Japan). New 19" wheels were added, as well as a new rear wing, a new TRD hood and some one-off Troy Lee graphics. The studio then set out to build 5 cosmetic replicas, shown in various stages of completion, all designed to replicate this original. All replicas were destroyed during the filming of the movie.

All that and only low 12's????

That's gotta be wrong. I know it isn't a 10 second car, but only low 12's? It should be able to do 11's all day long.

Are you sure about that 12.2 number?

Hell, $84K better run daily driven low 11's in my book.

It would suck to roll up to a stripped $4000 civic and get your A handed to ya. I saw three that ran low 11's regularly.

The Supra is heavy to begin with and his luxury interior with 9 tv's and every video game system ever mad isn't helping the cause. Don't get me wrong, obviously his vee is hot as hell. I would be more than happy to run 12's while playing playstay all while waiting to run. Most of the civics running tens are gutted and weigh in at like 2500 BEFORE any type of weight reduction so that would explain that.:D

Yeah.....crying about the 12's is kinda crazy. I got this Supra doing a whole lot of shit on the street in the butt! Especially after he hits THE BUTTON OF PAIN! His ass will only be a memory after that!

That 12s 1/4 must be bull, cuz if $84k = 12 seconds, then how much did those guys on suprastore.com pay for their 8 and 9 second supras?!

Damn, that is kinda heavy. The thing does about 5.1s 0-60 stock, so I would better than a .8 improvement with all the money they invested in it. The Z06 beats that time with ~150hp less.

84K on top of the original price of the Supra? That's a 6-digit-cost car!... And it's not even that fast in the twisties (considering the cost and weight), and is probably not very streetable. It has one massive turbo, which is not good for turbo-lag...

I'll take my 120K elsewhere. :D IMO
