I would have never known that the hybrid battery would would make the exterior color change from a grey to a blue as the battery expired.

My Altima has been my favorite car of the 10 cars that I've owned. The Hybrid batteries gave out. The motor will run but nothing happens when I hit the gas. I took it to my local Hybrid certified shop, and the Check Engine Light had three different codes about the failure of the hybrid battery system. At this point with 183,016 miles 14 years, it was not worth the cost of putting new batteries. I will really miss driving my Altima.

If you don't mind me asking how much to replace the batteries?
My long time mechanic quoted me $3,500 for reconditioned batteries with at 1 year warranty. Not bad considering they used to cost $10,000; now there is a market for this so there are lots of choices for replacement batteries.
