hey altimate, id go to my local auto store, or do some research to find out the color code of the prototype. if you cant find the exact color id bring a picture a picture of high color quality and the auto shop should be able to make a code for you.
then after you get the paint make sure its not a high gloss paint because it will look wet and "sticky". you want something with a shine but, looks like it came like that from the factory. if you want to prime its up to you, i never primed mine and ive yet to have a problem with scratching, for almost 3 years now.
make sure you sand the pieces with a scotch brite pad. you just wanna scuff them up. then pre clean them to get all the dirt and grease off it.
i dont know about your expierence with body work but ive always tested the plastic pieces with a piece of scotch tape. if it sticks then its ready for paint.
do a light coat, wait like 5 mins then apply a heavy coat. and done, perfect oem style pieces. i hope this helps anyone that want to stray away from a spray can.
