Hi.
I just dropped the gas tank to replace the fuel hoses.
The return line has radiator hose clamps.
I notice that pictures on other people's car show return line uses fuel-injection hose clamps.

  • Does it matter the type of clamp on the return line?

I didn't think much of it...thinking return line only has low pressure anyway.
Unfortunately, I already installed the gas tank and don't really want to drop it again unless I really ought to.

Thanks.

Given the age of the vehicle I think those clamps and the hose material will last long enough (especally if you cut the last 3/4" of hose so you have fresh rubber under the clamp). I wouldn't do that on the injectors...but as you pointed out, low pressure return should not be an issue. A-OK from my thinking.
