The 'which gasoline to use' question has come up a time or two before. Enjoy!
For all you guys that own a 3.5, I know it is recommended to use premium gas. How many of you guys still use regular unleaded gas instead of the recommended premium? What are some of the conceqeunces for using the regular instead of premium?
I heard somewhere, or from someone that the 3.5 SE needs premium gas....however, 2 dealers told me that you can put regular in it and it will be fine (of course I don't trust someone just trying to make a sale). Can anyone here help with this issue as I am considering the 3.5 SE and the 2.5 SL.
So I am planning on buying my first Altima, which well be the 3.5SL model with nav. I notice that the recommend fuel to get the 270hp is premium gas do you think it would make a difference if I were to use regular or mid-grade???
I'm considering buying a 2007 Altima 3.5 SE, but I want to know if this car requires premium gas. The dealer swears up and down that premium is recommended, but he runs 87 octane in all of the cars on the lot, and they do fine without premium. However, Fuel Economy shows the 3.5 SE as running...
I'm seriously considering buying an Altime Coupe...was going to get the V4, since I hear that the V6 requires premium gas. Would prefer the 6, but don't think it makes a lot of sense financially. Does anyone know if the 6 could take regular gas, too?
