haynes is better imo, but the chilton is thicker physically. never cracked the chilton open, but I've heard of people choosing the haynes over chilton numerous times. personally if I were selecting on, I'd go with the official Nissan Altima Repair Manual.

No, as odd as it may seem, books by different companies are in fact different.
I believe Haynes Publishing Inc. ownes both Haynes and Chilton, if I remember correctly. Personally I prefer the format of Haynes to the Chilton which seems a bit more convoluted. On ocassion I noticed flagrant mistakes/misrepresentations in both of them, so quality-wise they are both equally bad .
The Nissan Factory Service Manual rules :D !!!!

dropping 120 on a manual, no way in hell Imma gonna be handing those suckas out! I still gotta cop me one.
