Hmmm, looks like you have the 2.5, so should be the Valeo 110A unit, and it should just have a 2-pin alternator (S/L) harness connector...which is not what your harness has.

Presumably you know what you have though...so I can tell you from the harness side:

Black/Yellow - Battery
Brown - Charge to Gauge cluster
Grey - IPDM

Ok, that's a different beast,....Hitachi OEM p/n LR1130-701. Also, from some images I've found, it looks like the locking tab on the connector is on the far side from the pulley. That would reverse the order of the pins:

Black/Yellow - Battery
Brown - Charge to Gauge cluster
Grey - IPDM

then the terminals below the harness locking tab when looking down on it are, Left to Right are 4/3/2 (Black/Green/Red) which should then be

4 - Grey --> Black (common)
3 - Yellow/Black --> Green (sense)
2 - Brown --> Red (lamp)

Here's the best I could find on the 3-terminal CSL plug, which is consistent now.

The 'sense' wire should read +12V all the time. The others you won't get any reading off unless it's running.

If you ground (use a meter probe to engine metal and a second set of eyes) the 'lamp' wire, your dash 'charge' light should come on when the ignition is on (do not start car!)

Wiring Diagram

Here's a wiring diagram for your car. The 3 pin connector is F7; Pin 2 is where the brown wire needs to go, Pin 3 is where the yellow/black wire needs to go, and Pin 4 is where the gray wire needs to go. Pins 2 and 3 will have voltage on them since they are coming from fuses, pin 4 is connected to the IPDM and is most likely a duty cycled wire to regulate alternator output. Pin 2 looks like it is responsible for turning on the charging light on the instrument cluster.

Those files were PDF's Perhaps you can't open a PDF?

Thanks for the help it said the image was broken unable to see it
I see you said that you could not open the images? So I opened the PDF that was sent, and then printed out the two relevant pages and then scanned them into my PAINT program to add some notes.

I am not sure if this will help you --- Take a look and let us know. :grin

PS: you may want to ZOOM in on the photos by double clicking and or using the Zoom feature of Windows on the Browser. You may also be able to print the pictures out if you do a print screen?

PPS: Terminal Wire 4 could be GREY? (I am not keen on wire color designations!)

Altimatribe07: Yes the gray wire is closest to the engine.

Rich in KY: Green wires are usually labeled as "GN", "LG" for light green, or "DG" for dark green on wiring diagrams.

Does the same go for a 08’ Nssn Alt 3.5?? In regards to the alternator pigtail?
