hey,
i jst got me a 2nd hand 96 altima. i need to change part no PS 168 (oil switch). it costs $6 but my mechanic wants $50 to fix it. anyone help me out? don't wanna pay the guy. want to change it myself, if you could tell me where it is located at, it would be great. don't have a engine detail booklet.

To test one---
1. Check oil level
2. remove oil pressure switch
3. install pressure gage (rent from autozone)
4. warm engine to normal temp.
5. check oil pressure with no load (should be 60-60 Psi
6. if bad install new pressure switch with sealant

Good question. And by the way get a haynes manual while you are picking up the new sensor.
