Help! My window won't go up....

My driver's side window just crapped out on me this morning. :( It's a 99 Alty, the windows are automatic....It'll go down, but won't go back up. Do you think this could be a regulator problem, or wiring? I've tried doing a search, and couldn't find any answers. So I'm hoping one of you might have the answers I'm looking for...

Thanks!!!

Its just the drivers side? Its probably wiring. If the switch was bad none of them would work.
Just the driver's side....the passenger side is iffy sometimes...I can do it with no problem on the passenger switch, but the driver's side switch will be moody.
The drivers switch is a master... meaning if it fails none of the windows will operate.
Cool....I'm going to pray that it doesn't rain today and getting it fixed tonight. Thanks for the help!!
No prob. If it doesnt end up being the switch car-parts.com has them for around 30 bucks. Stealerships want anywhere from 100-200.
lol @ "Stealerships"....I have good resources for discounted parts, so they're my last resort. I'll post my results for anyone who might have this problem...

Um...no...if one switch in the master panel goes bad, it will not affect the operation of all the switches. However if lets say the passenger front window switch on the master switch goes bad, the passenger front window switch on the passenger door most likely will not work.
i just had the same problem yesterday....i removed the driver's side door panel (the switch controll panel is wired to the door, so the panel cant be removed completely). I then un-screwed the controll panel and cleaned out the driver's side window button...it now goes up like a charm and with no effort ( i used to have to pull on it hard to get the window up). If you're comfortable removing the panel, i'd try that before paying a high hourly rate at a dealership......hope this helps a bit!

HOW CAN I FIX THIS ISSUE? My driver’s window won’t go up or down, but the other windows are working fine
