Hello. I have a 2012 Altima 2.5 it over heated and it putting coolant out exhaust joint. My problem right now is the intelligent key light is on. I have no power on door locks, trunk, radio etc. Remote door lock does nothing. On the start button the acc and on lights up but the lock doesn’t light. I plugged in a code reader and it won’t power it. And no it doesn’t have the steering lock module under the steering column. I can get a motor with 90k km’s For $350 but gotta hey the key thing figured out first

Here are some common reasons for the amber key warning light to come on:
  • Faulty key
  • Dead FOB battery
  • Faulty key antenna
  • Faulty control module
  • Electrical interference
  1. Replace the key fob battery, and make sure the key is within the cabin of the vehicle.
  2. If the problem persists, you'll have to tow the car to a Nissan dealer to fix your car's security system.
  3. Another option is to have a locksmith with a key programmer to come to you and service the car.
