Help with the homelink

Just picked up my 2.5SL and tried programming the Homelink transmitter. I followed the instructions for first clearing the factory settings and then programming it using my garage door opener. After programming it, I pressed the button once, the garage opened but ....it wouldn't close.

The Homelink doesn't work (my garage door opener still does), and I cannot seem to reprogram the Homelink. No matter what buttons I press the LED on the Homlink does not light. I'm wondering if somehow it has a lockout if you press the wrong combo of buttons or something.

Anyone experienced this? Just thought I would ask before I take the drive to the dealer.
