i can cut you a good deal on a rockford punch series woofer, 12" or 15" 2 ohm OR 4ohm voice coils. depending on where you live, i can get u a 12" for around 165$ shipped and a 15" for 200$ or less shipped.

o btw, they both handle 500 watts rms, which i'd assume is about what your rf amp is puttin out. it will pound, and since u got a rockford amp will pound even louder=)

the power the sub gets depends on the impedance it shows the amp. you could get a sub that doesnt see 1000 watts. specify what ohm load the amp does its power at.

hmm, his amp pushes out 300W RMS, why would you want to power a 900W RMS sub with it? the thing will crap out on him in like 30 seconds, get the Alpine Type S, the Type R is too expensive and has a much higher RMS, you always wanna match the RMS of your sub or go over it, so you're lookin at 200-400 RMS roughly for a sub

type R goes online for $100, and the RMS is only, i believe, 400 watts. it would be a fairly good match for his amp. Alphasonik is on the same level as Audiobahn.

Sorry i understood from his post that he had a 1000watt RF amp, and also, the type-R rms rating is exactly 300. I agree with CV on this one, type-R would be perfect for his need and power handling

i know a guy who pushed 450w RMS daily to a ported one, never had a problem. they're a bit underrated...

Maximum power:600 watts
4 ohm load:100x2
2ohm load:200x2
4 ohm bridge:300x1

The 12" titanium handles 750rms, you only have 300. The eclipse aluminum handles 450 so its a little closer. You don't really have a 1000 watt amp, you have a 300 watt amp that they call a 1000 watt amp (although since even the max isn't 1000 I'm not sure where they came up with that). RMS is important, peak or max really isn't. So you need a sub in the 300 watt RMS range.
