I'm replacing my tires soon, but I need your recommendations.

I want either 225-50-17 or 235-50-17. I need to know what you guys think is the best replacement (considering I'm keeping my stock 17" rims), and also what kind of tires would be the best.

Thanks guys!

its your call

both are good replacement.

personally with the torque this engin has i would go with the 235's as you get an extra 10 mm (1/2") of tread width.

BUT you will also lower your gas mileage

i have the 235/50 pilot sport a/s's on there and I love em.

If you are trying to maintain OE rolling tire diameter, go with 225/50-17s. I am running 235/50-17 Pilots on OE rims, and I don't car for them. Too tall of a tire.

Your right. Every time you go up a size, you lose a very small amount of power and gas mileage. Even the width (more drag on the road) may lower gas mileage. What ever size you deside on, take a hard look at the yokahama avid. These are a very highly rated tire at the tire rack. I bought 4 last month and I love them. Very quit and they perform much beter than the shi!!y contis that came with the car. I had them mounted at sam's for $9 a wheel. I got in them for less than $300. 215-60-16

How much will it lower hte gas mileage? I have 225-50-17 and want to go wider...I get shitty mileage as it is, so would I be expecting to go from like 21 to 20?
