i have a 2001 alty and the keyless entry remote that came with the car SUCKS!. often it doesn't work, you stand there and keep pressing it and nothing!, plus the added frustration and you pounding the button doesn't help either. anyways i think...i think it suffers more around other cars, like in parking lots (could be me just paranoid). anyways anyone else have this prob...should i complain to nissan.

Try cleaning the contacts between the buttons and the sensor board. Or, change yer batteries.

My remote works great but I did notice that when it started to lose range changing the battery was all it needed.

That's also a known issue with some of those remotes and reprogramming them usually does the trick. In my experience however, they need pretty fresh batteries to work from any kind of a distance and I had to change mine at least once a year (pathfinder) to keep from going nuts.

Scrap the Nissan crap, and buy an Alpine!!!

I got sick of dealing with the damn thing, plus it wasn't capable of the features that I wanted to add.
