Do you have the 2.5 or the 3.5? I've come to the conclusion that installing an intake and a new exhaust just to get maybe 15HP isn't worth the cash or the chance of voiding my warranty. I think that the HP differences between the Maxima the G35 and the 3.5 Altima are all based on how the computers are tuned.

Installing and intake and exhaust won't void the warranty. Worst case senario is that the dealer may ask you put your stock intake back on to confirm it isn't causing a tunning problem. Exhausts aren't worth the money (in $$ per HP) on most modern day cars, most owners do it for looks or sound. On the 15 hp difference, it seems to be less of a 15hp difference between the 2, and its because in internal parts/specs, not cpu tuning.

Actually, its almost like no difference between the two at all when you compare dyno runs. What internal parts/specs are you referring too??? A breakdown comparison of the 3.5 in both the 2k2 Alty and Max has revealed that the specs and parts are identical except for the hp rating.

I have 3.5 V6, do they make the computer chip thing for this car? And if so where can you get it? And my budget is pretty flexable

Just Wait for the 350X to come out. Once it's out try and match all of the specs. I think after market product will speed up with the release of the 350Z. It's the same engine.....so there will be alot of possiblities for us Alty's.
