So, I bought a 1999 nissan maxima, I've owned this 4th generation twice and for the last 6 weeks I've replaced the oil pressure switch twice.. it'll have no issue and then 2wks in I'm leaking oil from the censor all over again.. what is causing this.. I've asked if the part needs a seal and they keep telling me the part comes with the seal.. any help is appreciated!!

Is the old seal, or parts thereof still in the hole? Clean/inspect well before re-installing. Check for cracks or stripped threads while you're there.

The last time it was the plastic censor part it was leaking from.. I'm being told the part comes with a seal but I believe that i need an additional seal.. at autozone they said they couldn't find the additional seal and it came as all one piece but I didnt see an actual seal only a reddish colored tape around the threading.. I'm lost..

Oh and no cracks or leaks elsewhere.. just from that one part.. its literally every 3 wks..

So than what else can be causing the leak just a faulty part or what..
