I have a 2007 Nissan Altima 2.5s. About a month ago I was backing into my driveway when my Fiancè opened my back door and shut it to let the dog out of the car. Upon shutting the door, my entire car shut off. The car was still in reverse, steering wheel unlocked.
I’m at a total loss. We’ve tried replacing the steering wheel lock module, the start/stop switch, checked all fuses multiple times, had the battery checked and even had a locksmith come out to see if it was a problem with the key fob.
Not an issue with the key fob as it is recognizing the key.
Headlights come on, brake lights work when mashing brake. No power to the radio and the push button start will only stay in the lock position.
Anything is helpful at this point, as we have watched millions of videos and even spoken with a Nissan mechanic. No one knows what the issue is.
