smart.. they've bumbled the initial focus when it came out, and I don't want the new Mazda 3 to be the same as the Focus.

Last I checked, 3 isn't that much more expensive compare to Focus which I believe Ford's decision based on 3 following possible reasons:

1) They want more profit margin with a really crappy Focus that's outdated using current platform. Or retool factories to accomodate C1.

2) Supplier giving the executive a good under table deal.

3) Don't want people starting to link Focus to S40 and hamper Volvo's sales?

So in other words, they charge more for the Ford Fukus in Europe than in North America? Or is the current European Focus better than the current North American Focus?
