I see that the new Infinity G35 (whic is based on the ALtima) has an availble Navigation system. Does anyone know whether this can be configured for the Altima dash? I'd give up my Bose for one!!

It seems as if the harness/dash may be designed for nav. If it becomes available in '03, the car should be upgradable to nav. See 2002 Altima's Site. If possible, the upgrade would require the nav unit and a new center dash trim panel. That or wait for the all-in-one Nav/CD/MP3/DVD unit.

Thanks for the tip on the Altima teardown page. THat was amazing! I'd never have the cojones to do that in a million years, but it was fascinating to see. That little, smaller- than-a-single-DIN space above the Bose (Panasonic) head unit was kind of intriguiging, too. Makes you wonder..

SO have you heard anything specific about the nav/mp3/DVD thing you hinted at??
