Hello all! My 2008 Sentra just failed the emissions test here in Pennsylvania. It is showing the very common P0420 code. My question is, how do I find out which Cat needs to be replaced? I don't want to put a lot of money into the repair because frankly, the car isn't worth that much.
Thanks in advance!!

The cat that is in front if the rear oxygen sensor. Sometimes there are cats after the downstream O2 that aren't monitored and don't set codes. This here is what you need from napa. Its sandwiched between the exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe. Part # circled in green. Also a complete exhaust system diagram. I would avoid the universal weld in place cats as quality widely varies. I've seen them fail right out of the box.
