So I picked up a 96 sentra gxe and the guy said it had a fuel issue and that wasn't the case. I did a compression test and none of the cylinders had compression. I'm new to working on cars and was wondering what this could mean.

No compression means he either cooked it by overheating, or skipped/snapped the timing chain, in which case the valves are bent and the engine needs rebuilt. Sorry about the crooked seller. The engine's are cheap if you feel the need to get it running. Cheaper to swap a junk yard engine in than to have yours rebuilt.
