I'm going to do all the chrome including the wheels. Was thinking of using plasti dip.
I did use plasti dip on it but I plan on eventually wrapping the chrome. I did the front, sides and the rear. I’m not going to do the wheels.

If you have never used plasti dip I can say that it is very durable and easy to apply. Just do at least 4-5 even coats so that when or if you decide to remove it will come off easy. One other piece of advice is when you mask it off don’t go all the way against the piece you are spraying. Leave about a half of an inch of a gap. When you remove the tape or paper it will come off with it and break right at the line you want. Other wise it will tear the area you just dipped. There videos on the right way of doing it on you tube.

It looks nice! We all have different preferences and you made a good choice of getting rid of the chrome design.

Looks good, I'm not big on chrome either. May want to do 6 to 8 coats on the front end from my experience if you're using plastidip to help prevent rock chipping. Been blacking out my 4th gen grille since 2010.

Thanks. I don’t think there is much choice but to leave it the way it is. It has the sensors built into it.

So that's the reason I have so many errors when raining
I haven’t had any errors with mine so I can’t say weather or not the rain is the issue. I could see that happening though and know it can’t be blocked or covered.

What type of real world gas mileage are you seeing out of the VC turbo platform?

I've got 16k on mine and I'm right at 29.1 mpg. That's with roughly 65% highway driving. Average highway speed is 80.

I’m at 26.5 with only 4K But lately I’ve been pushing it a little when accelerating from 15 mph to 60. Also mostly neighborhood driving, very little freeway.

Nope. I've had errors since day one. Only during a heavy rain. It scared the shit out of me the first time because I had no idea what that dummy light meant.
