Any truth to the rumor that the accelerator pedal will "fly-by-wire?" Meaning when you step on the pedal it won't be hooked to a throttle cable but to the computer?

P.S. saw a one new gold colored 2002 on a car carrier with a bunch of trucks....are they out already? Heard on the newsgroups from a Nissan tech at a dealership that he test drove one.

That is true, it is fly-by-wire. Better throttle response (quicker and more accurate), plus lower maintenance, and safer as long as the computer doesn't go "Maximum Overdrive" on you (for those who have seen that movie).
