Grandson's girlfriends car overheated and blew the motor we seen where liquid solder was used on the radiator and I figured that leaked bad and got hot... Well we put in a used motor and new radiator(whew forgien cars are new to me) and it overheats. Anyone have a tip on bleeding the cooling system,or a possible idea why this is heating up. Do these have thermastats like V-8's. When running fluid pushes out with the cap off and cool? Thanks for any ideas!!!:)

Did you bleed the system properly? You could have an air pocket in there. I'd swap out the thermostat and rad cap. You could always boil the thermostat to see if it's working. There's usually a small bolt on the thermostat housing which you loosen as you pour the coolant in. When it starts pouring out just tighten it up. Make sure your rad isn't clogged up too.Hopefully your not looking at a headgasket.
