I know this might be a retarded question but what does the oxygen sensor do and would upgrading it be any better for my car????

I also plan on getting some NGK plugs for my car but not sure which one is best...V-power or Platnium?

Any thoughts on this??

I have done a search already also. It didnt really tell me much.

It measures the oxygen content of the exhaust to adjust the air/fuel ratio entering the cylinders for efficiency and performance.

I don’t think there’s an upgrade to the sensor and I don’t have an opinion about the plugs.

o2 sensor is near the cat converter and you'd be better off upgrading your cat converter first to a Random Technology or Catco one and then changing the o2 sensor.

I've been told that the catco cat might not pass the sniffer. Any input on this from you guys that have the catco cat?
