1 unit - Pioneer In dash CD Player/Receiver (50watts X 4)
2 pairs - any brand of separate speakers with passive crossovers(front and rear)
1 pair of 10" or 12" subs with an ave. of 100 to 150 watts each.
1 amp to push the subs 150 to 200 per channel.


This set-up will do for clarity and a little umph. Try it. It's cheap!

my 10w6 with a kenwood 300/600 watt amp is more than enough for me. You don't need 2 subs if you want clarity.

Also, you don't need a pair of seperates for the rear. Full range speakers will do just fine. Seperates for the front though

1. mb quart top of the line seperates
2. a mcintosh amp like mine
any prof. will tell you the best amp is still the mcintosh's
3. with all that for hight you will need at least two nice 10" subs
4. and a nice old black punch 200

now we are talking a high quality system for clarity and some bass

dude mcintosh is not the best amp out there, although it is a very good hi quality one it's not the best, fact is there is no best, it comes down to what you like, for me it's zapco, but then theres xtant,ppi,a/d/s,mmats,rockford,orion hcca,even alpine v-12 amps are good,anything of good quality is a good amp.

This is my system now in my 93 GXE : 2 Rockford Fosgate Power DVC 10" subs. 2 Rockford Fosgate amps - Power 500a2, and Punch 400a4. Rockford Fosgate 6 1/2 Comp. set and Rockford Fosgate 5" x 7" co - ax's. Rockford Fosgate Digital 1 Farad Cap. And to top it all off tha new SONY XPLOD L - CUBE CD Deck. I've bin told that my system has tha best Clarity , so far. My friend installed everythin hes a professional installer , andhe tweeked everythin, i can here every word, every lil note. All that im sayin is that 2 10's and full range speakers, will b a good setup, and on top of that u wont spend out tha ass for all that stuff.

well i havent had too much experience with zapco but

every audio shop i go to they tell me that mcintosh is the best
and they always tell me never to get rid of it cause its the best

i agree with erebunialtima, mcintosh is the best amp that you can get for car audio, i have had experience with mcintosh tarantula amps and they are by far the best. Even the professionals will back that up. reason why you dont see alot of people with them is because they are so expensive, but by far the best
