Hi,

I have a quick question as a new member of Altimas.net -- I installed a Kenwood MP8017 yesterday in my 94 Altima; however, I'm having a problem figuring out the wiring for the power antenna.

There were a total of 4 2-pair wire runs for the speakers and 5 other hookups for power, ground, acc, illum and another I couldn't figure out what it was for -- however, to the best of my knowledge it wasn't for the power antenna.

The odd thing is, when I plug my deck in, the antenna goes up and as soon as I plug the adapter for the antenna into the deck, the antenna goes down and stays down.

Does anyone know where I would hook the antenna control wire off the deck too?

Thanks in advance.

i think u are talkin about a remote wire so the deck comes on with the switch
the ACC wire which is blue ...

I'm trying to find the remote wire for the ant (which from looking at audoaltima is suppose to be blue ... however, my blue wire is the only wire besides the constant that gets power when the key is set to ACC.)

How do power antennas work? Is it just a wire that you give power to or am I missing something important here.
