Replace Headlamps with DRL and Adding Fog Lights

Hey! New guy here needing some help. I bought a lightly used (5k miles on a company car) 2019 Altima S that was more barebones than I'd like and, even with my research, I didn't realize the S is the only model without LEDs in the headlight housing or fog lights as an option. It's very difficult to see at night and I'd like to have DRL for highway driving visibility for other drivers. I have spoken to some local dealerships and they just tell me to buy aftermarket parts. If you look at the current banner here you'll see exactly what I'd like to have. Pictured are the headlights have the LED strip (standard for SR/SV) and the fog lights below them. I'm not sure if the current wiring hardness would support the foglights and DRL/LED strip.

I figured I could buy replacement SR/SV headlamps and OEM or aftermarket foglights and housing but there don't seem to be too many options out there right now. I used to have a base model 2000 Mustang that I had foglights installed on that came with an OEM switch and they worked great. Any help is much appreciated!

I just ordered all of the parts to put OEM fogs in my 2019 Altima SR. There are a couple of Nissan OEM websites that you can order the parts, your going to need: a new steering column switch(the one that has fogs), foglights, bezels and screws/washers.
It really depends on what you are after, you can go the OEM route or you can go over to Ebay and purchase an aftermarket kit that will have everything you need. The only issue with Ebay is that your going to have an aftermarket switch to turn them on or your going to need to splice into the wiring harness.
As for the headlights I have found a couple of used and new sets on Ebay but its going to cost you some money to go this route, if you are looking to go the cheaper route you can always upgrade both your low and high beam to a high quality LED bulb.

There are a few companies that sell LED conversion kits and LED fog light kits on Ebay for a good price. The best ones are those for foreign markets. Only thing with those is that with some kits you have to reverse the polarity as they use Positive ground. But, the lights are designed to use the standard base so they snap right in. I just upgraded a 2012 base S unit I bought 4 weeks ago, and it is a HUGE difference.

For wiring the fog lights, pull out the light fixture. Behind it should be a connector tucked in with the wires. It is long enough to reach the fog lights, but only when the bumper wrap is on. I made mine a foot longer and just wire tied it out of the way after putting it back together. That way I can take the wrap off without ripping out wires.

The issue the OP is going to have is the standard S base is not pre-wired for Fog Lights so he will need to do all the wiring. The SR is the only one that comes pre-wired as they are built along with the Platinums.

Really? Mine is a base model S and there were fog light connectors tucked in behind the wiring. Kind of twisted around that black wrapped bundle. Sorry if I miss-spoke, but I really do have them and they were part of the bundle, so they were not added. I plugged in a fog light from my coupe (I am parting it out due to blown CVT and 389k miles on it). It turned on with the low beams. The fixtures don't fit, of course, but they came on. Again, my apologies if I miss-spoke on this.

Ummm.... I don't know. I just bought it like 4 weeks ago and have only done some basics so far like oil, radiator flush, etc. I am off for a week over the Holidays and will be doing some in-depth maintenance.

One of the lights was burned out, so used an LED conversion kit instead of just replacing it with a cheap bulb. When I took off the bumper wrap and the fixture, I saw it tucked in.

So if an SR comes pre-wired, why the need to purchase the steering column switch you mentioned earlier? Wouldn't you just need to connect the lamp and turn on your low beam for power? I've got the fog lamps, bezels, & wiring harness, all from chinese nissan parts place, but no combo/multi function/steering column switch. I can do away with the harness, cuz im pre-wired, but came here to find answers on the switch.
