For anyone interested, during my 8500, 23-state cross country marathon the 2005 3.5SE averaged 28.6mpg.

Doing straight 65 on cruise control, I managed one 610 mile tank from Montana through the base of Utah at 35.4mpg. The mileage definitely seemed to increase over the course (as the odometer went from 10,200 to 18,600).

P.S., Has anyone had luck removing the 115 limiter on the 2005 3.5's? That was a bummer. But the car provided more than comfortable living for most of the 14 nights my friend and I were on the road.

Long indeed. 23 States up and down (Pa to Mich to ND to OK to NM to CO to MN to Cali)...and then shipped to Hawaii, where I now live =) I probably have the record for the longest distance from place of purchase to place of use of anyone here.

That is good skillet....I have been noticing how much gas mileage the Altima gets on the HWY compared to the City.

In the City, my Altima 2.5S has gotten down to as low as 23.9 MPG (better than the actual estimates)

And on the HWY I have gotten up to 36.5...not bad for a car this size...
