I have 2013 Altima SL with Nav. unit. Can anyone tell me if it has a scan feature for the radio stations? The type of scan which pauses for about 5 seconds then advances to the next station and so on. It does have a seek to where it will go to next station but have to press it again for it to seek again. I've tried finding it in the owners manual and searching YouTube. I took it in to my dealer to ask if they could show me. My salesman could not find it. He asked another salesman with same results. Finally, they got the guy who goes over all the features with you at the time of purchase. He tried and tried to find it but couldn't. He was surprised that it didn't have a scan feature (if that's the case). His conclusion was that no one uses the scan feature anymore in automobiles that have satellite radio and Pandora. I do know the Altima's without Nav. does have the scan button. :banghead:

I wonder if you hold the seek button down for a few seconds if it would do the scan feature? I've had a few radios that worked that way. Hold them down and they eventually beep to indicate scan mode. I'd try it but I'm in Afghanistan & my SL is stateside.

I've actually tried doing that Amichai. It does beep after holding in the seek button but it still only goes to next station and stays. Which leads me to believe I think that's the way its suppose to work to make it scan. Why else would it beep? I'm thinking its just not working.

Well that's a frickin' bummer! It would seem easy enough to fix with a firmware flash, but I doubt Nissan is that concerned with it. Kind of disappoints me. Driving across country is when that button comes in so handy!

I know exactly what you are talking about. One of my Altimas did have a scan button. The others have not and I really do miss it. My plan is to buy a 2024 Altima and I am trying to find out if I can get the scan as a radio option. Mine have all been SLs.
