SE-R Oil Pressure

Hello, i own a 2005 altima se-r 6 speed. I'm a bit concerned about my oil pressure....

Sometimes at idle (650-700) the oil light will come on. So today i hook up a oil pressure gauge end here is the result:

idle: 4psi
1000 rpm: 6 psi
2000 rpm: 15 psi
3000 rpm: 25 psi

should i be concerned? Also is 650-700 rpm ok at idle?

Thanks!

I wonder where that piece o gasket came from?
Hello M-train. The gasket i found in my oil pan came from the oil gallery behind the timing chain. Some people also refer to this gasket as the rear timing chain cover gasket.
Mine failed on me too :/ I had to buy a new inner timing chain cover to get the gasket. It set me back 120$ or so.
Here are some more pictures of the gasket. If you guys are ever experiencing low oil pressure and find a cardboard gasket piece in your oil pan this is the problem. It's not the rear timing chain gasket. It's this.
Very nice. If I ever have that problem, that will be the first place I'll check... Nice.
My 2008 Nissan Sentra ser 2.5 ltr sits at around 4 psi when warm at idle. But it only shows 20 psi when driving at 2000 rpm. Should I be concerned? I know I have a leak at the oil cooler and getting that fixed. It used to be around 30 psi. My engine has 164k and I get full synthetic oil changes every 7k miles.
Bumping the oil weight up may help, from 5-30 to 10-40. The engine has wear that does that; commonly in the DOHC head.

Oil pressure switches commonly are set from 5-7 psi, engine wears to be under that and the light then flickers on at low idle in summer. You used to be able to simply bump the idle up to get rid of it but modern electronic will not let you bump idle up.

Don't hotrod the car; it may last for years yet, I drove one that did it for many years and no trouble at all.
