One more thing, vibration at idle and drive without the AC on

 

check your alternator's voltage output.

 

Hey Jim, why do you think it has something to do with the alternator?

 

because you stated that a bunch of your dash lights are coming on. from my experience, when an alternator/battery is failing (in altima's) most or all of the dash lights start coming on. think about it, what are the chances that your airbag, crank sensor, TCS/slip and transmission are all going bad at the same time :dunno:.

i would make sure that there is no corrosion on the battery terminals. then hook up a multimeter on the terminals while the car is running, your alternator should be putting out 13+ volts. i would also go to a local auto parts store and have your battery load tested. good luck.

Car went into limp mode today and threw a P0746 for pressure control solenoid.
Guess I have a problem with the CVT.
Anyone had this code? I hope fluid change will help

Figured it out.
After some extensive research on Nissan sites, I found a bunch of nissan owners who had the same 0340 code resulting in the TCS/VDC/SLIP lights and cars going into limp mode.
Guess I just have to change out both sensors now.

 

One more thing, can anyone confirm there are only 2 CAM position sensors.
One right in front just beneath the engine cover and the other behind the intake?
