Have a 2001 GXE, the strut tower brace is not included on the car. The brace is also listed as NOT an option that can be dealer added. I have looked at the nut and bolts exposed on the top of the strut towers, and they look to be of a light weight metal, not the steel ones like on the SE and GLE (maybe aluminum). If I install a STB does anyone know if I would have to replace the bolt coming out of the towers with stronger ones? Thanks.

There should be no problem. Just install the brace and you are done.

I can't imagine that they wouldn't hold. . .the reason for the different screws at the top is because the SE/GLE have the upgraded struts. . .
