I've tried searching for this answer and either it's there and I'm not seeing it or my question hasn't really been answered.

Can I swap out my base model stock radio head unit with a Bose radio head unit on my 2010 Altima Sedan?

The screen stopped working on mine (sound is fine) and it looks like the swap would be easy.

That is the unit I'm looking at getting. I can also buy the climate controls separate too.

Sorry if this has been asked before, if it has, I can delete this thread. Thanks guys!

no because the bose systemp has an amp and is configured specifically with the bose amp. The non bose, oem head unit doesn't have an amp and is setup for 6 speakers.

It would just be easier to go with an aftermarket head unit & speakers or a 4 channel amp later on

I would think you could replace with the same make/style 'factory' unit.

But, as I understand the question you posed, which was: can I replace my factory head unit with the Bose head unit?

And the post response was "NO".

I agree. You cannot replace the factory non-Bose head unit with a factory Bose head unit unless you change out everything. That's true w/Nissan products and GM products (namely Corvette).

Bose products are proprietary systems.
