i have the tint you lay over. it was like 70$ and 60$ to have it installed. it looks really good

 

just buy an extra set of tail lights off ebay for like 50 bucks then buy the spray tint by VNT and get some clear coat for 20, then tint them yourself, that way you have a back up pair, then call it a day end of story

dont buy film tint for taillights

the tint strips dont work very well because the tail lights on the sentra are to big and will leave creases when you try to fold it on the top . I tried that first and turned out horrible so I took them to get sprayed with real auto paint and they came out perfect . I get compliments all the time .Here is a pic .

Mine were actually painted and clear coated so there won't be any bubbling and stuff like you could get with the overlay. The overlay is a lot cheaper though. You dont have to replace the tail light to do this. It would be better to get another pair on ebay or at a junk yard for cheap in case you mess your first pair up.

Nope. Not even close either. I have LED bulbs that make it pretty bright.

I never have been rear ended my friend that works at a body shop used some tranparent paint so it still shines thru pretty bright and besides the third brake light is still their so havent had any problems. I also was kinda scared when I first did them when the po po's would be behind me at the stop light but they havent gave me a ticket . I have had them on the car for like year and half because I hated the factory tail lights.
