From what I recall any modification to the headlights OR taillights that affects the light output is illegal, even if the tint is very light. LE will still find it as a justifiable reason to stop you if they want.

honestly speaking, it's usually always illegal, I donno the specifics of Cali because im in Canada but,

if a cop want's to pull you over and give you a ticket bcause they cant' see your taillights... they will not hesitate to do so.

so it's always gonna be a risk, I'd say do it cuz it looks good but don't do it too dark

thx think ima hold off on the tail lights. cops where i live harass people like crazy if you young & latino with your music loud haha

most cops won't bother you for tinted tails unless you have very dark tint, or it restricts the light output. I've never been stopped for mine, but mine don't restrict any of the light outputs at all.

Just had the idea of removing the oem battery tie down since its decomposing and I guess its normal for it to happen after time. So i am going to remove it Thursday get a metal brush clean it and might as well paint it just to add some looks to it

Hey y'all - thought I should throw this out there. I have a 2011 2.5 SL. Lately the BRAKE light in the dash has been coming on randomly. Along with that this yellow indicator with the image of a car with squiggle lines under it comes on. Both indicators eventually turn off after some time of riding. I'm at 43K miles so it could be that I need brakes. But the inconsistency is bugging me. Thoughts?

Ive noticed it a few times as well. I just assumed it was the car slipping a bit on wet roads...I hope I am right and its not something bigger...

That happened to me a few months ago.. Have him check the brake fluid.. Its most likely low.. At 40k it most likely time for new pads and rotors as well

Hmm ok. I'm at 43K. Got my brakes looked at recently and the guy said my brakes still had at least 70% left...

you may want them to check the master cylinder. there is a recall on the Brake master cylinder leaking. They found mine was leaking this past weekend. It was leaking into the brake booster, so on the outside, you would have never known it was leaking.

Saw the same issue except the Slip light would stay on along with the brake light. Added a bit of fluid and haven't seen them come on again.
