Hey All,

I have received some great help on this forum and need to ask for advice one more time. 2008, 3.5 w/CVT. Top motor mount, passenger side of car, rubber grommet is shot. Motor is not flexing or rocking yet but of that rubber fully breaks out of the mount, it's definitely going to.

Does anyone know if there is weight or tension on this motor mount? Or, is it an unbolt/bolt in new one type replacement? Either one is fine, I just want to be ready should I need to brace the motor in position from the bottom. What I don't want is to push out the last bolt and have the motor shift, possibly removing a finger or two and leaving me with a crooked motor.

Thanks

Top mount is by the far the easiest to replace...it stops front to back movement, so no weight or load bearing (unlike the front and rear lower mounts), the latter of which is a huge PITA to change out.
