TPMS Reset/Reprogram

You do not need to do anything if you are just getting new TIRES. The sensor is part of the valve stem assembly which is part of the wheel, not the tire. If you get new tires, there will be no issue. Inflate to required psi, and the system is okay. TPMS has been a statutory requirement for all cars after 2005 (i think is the year). There are not specific tires for specific cars/TPMS sensors, that catalog for tires would be enormous. Excuse me if I'm incorrect with my assessment, but that is how I interpret your question.

As others have mentioned, if you change out the wheels, THEN you will have to go to the dealership (or tire shop) to have the new sensors programmed to the system.

I am mistaken (didn't actually read the shared link above..but now that I have), MasterTech didn't have reprogramming procedures, he just told how the system worked. I think the dealership is your option (I think others on here said it was around $100 or so) or you can shop around to another tire shop to see if they can do it. (Firestone, TiresPlus, Merchant, NTB, Sears) Just a thought.
