turbo timer

hi i just bought an r33 turbo an i wanted to fit a turbo timer. i bought a fet tb307 and a mate told me they connect to the back of the ignition but when i went to connect mine the plugs were totally different.
i could do with some help. am i connecting it right or have i got the wrong unit.
